NONBEI SAKE BAR & BBQ

Ultimate Brisbane BBQ Experience

About Us

Established in 2001, NONBEI Sake Bar & BBQ is one of Brisbaneโ€™s longest-running Japanese yakiniku restaurants.

We first opened as Kohya at a time when authentic Japanese BBQ was still rare in the city, and rebranded as NONBEI in 2012 while keeping the same philosophy.

At NONBEI, quality always comes first.

We focus on carefully selected meats, traditional Japanese yakiniku style, and attentive service, without shortcuts or compromise.

While our prices may be higher than average, we believe great quality and a satisfying dining experience are worth it.

We also offer a premium all-you-can-eat yakiniku option, designed for guests who want to enjoy quality meat without limits. For us, all-you-can-eat never means low quality.

With over 20 years of experience, NONBEI continues to share Japanese yakiniku culture with Brisbane locals and visitors alike.

If you are looking for authentic Japanese BBQ with proven quality and consistency, we look forward to welcoming you.
